PERSPECTIVES BEYOND HORIZON

‘Landscape painting traditionally addresses horizon. This horizon sets position and scale to space and action. It also expresses

our relationship to this world.

This earthbound relationship has changed.

We have moved from an anthropomorphic point of view to a global perception of our planet, worldview and ultimately our understanding of who we are. These paintings seek to connect environment and perceptions in this new perspective. The aerial view is metaphor to indicate the fragile balance of our planet, along with the shifting beautiful chaos of weather, climate, erosion and time all of which are at a critical point. In another way this viewpoint is also to express a world without borders or ideologies.

They also recognise this delicate strength as an allegory for our own condition.'
